Sarah’s Appliance Repair Terms and Conditions

Updated: June 3rd, 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services performed by Sarah’s Appliance Repair, LLC (“Sarah’s Appliance Repair,” “Sarah’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including service calls, diagnostics, estimates, repairs, installations, warranty-related visits, online bookings, phone bookings, and any other work performed by our technicians or installers.

By visiting our website, scheduling service, confirming an appointment, approving an estimate, submitting an online booking request, allowing a technician or installer to begin work, signing an invoice, signing a work order, accepting a Post Visit Report, or accepting service from Sarah’s Appliance Repair, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.

“Customer” means the party at the service address, the person requesting service, the person authorizing service, the owner of the appliance or property, the tenant or occupant at the service location, and/or any person acting on behalf of the party responsible for the appliance or property.

Service Fees and Online Booking

Hiring Sarah’s Appliance Repair to service an appliance will incur a service fee for the technician’s trip, inspection, diagnosis, and written estimate. Our standard service charge ranges from $119.95 to $219.95, depending on your location relative to our nearest available technician. Additional charges may apply for built-in, stacked, commercial, specialty, or high-end appliances due to the additional time, labor, expertise, removal, diagnosis, or reinstallation required.

For online bookings, the service fee must be prepaid to secure the appointment. Without prepayment, the appointment is not confirmed and the requested time slot is not guaranteed. If you are unable to prepay online, please contact our office before the appointment so we can attempt to collect the service fee by phone, text payment link, or Square invoice.

A diagnostic fee applies to each additional appliance beyond the first. Our technicians cannot inspect, test, diagnose, discuss, or provide repair advice for additional appliances unless they are documented in our records and the applicable diagnostic fee is approved.

For warranty-related repairs, a service charge, deposit, or other upfront payment may be required to cover non-warranty expenses, including but not limited to shipping, handling, travel, diagnosis, or charges not covered by the manufacturer, warranty company, landlord, property manager, or contract provider. If warranty coverage is later verified and the paying party remits payment according to its policy, any eligible refund will be processed according to the applicable warranty or contract terms.

Service Call and Diagnosis

The service call fee includes the trip to the Customer’s location, the initial inspection, diagnosis, and written estimate of repair. The service call fee does not apply toward the repair unless expressly stated otherwise, and it is non-refundable once the technician has been dispatched or service has been performed.

If the technician cannot duplicate the reported issue, the visit may be documented as “Operating properly,” “No problem found,” or similar. In that situation, the service call fee still applies. If a problem is intermittent, it may not be diagnosable at the time of service, and the service call fee still applies.

If the cause of the issue is determined to be external to the appliance, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, gas supply, ventilation, installation, drainage, customer use, or environmental conditions, the service call fee still applies.

Technicians are not authorized to waive or alter service fees. Additional charges may apply if access to the appliance is restricted, the appliance must be moved, the appliance is stacked or built in, the Customer requests additional work, or the scope of service changes after arrival.

Model and Serial Number Requirement

Customers are strongly encouraged to provide the appliance model and serial number before the appointment. This information allows Sarah’s Appliance Repair to better prepare for the visit, research appliance information, identify common issues, review parts availability, and improve the likelihood of an efficient diagnosis.

The model and serial number are usually located on the appliance’s factory rating tag. Customers may text a clear photo of the model and serial number tag to 505-388-0900 before the appointment.

Failure to provide the model and serial number before the appointment may limit our ability to prepare in advance, may delay parts research, and may require additional follow-up after the diagnosis.

Estimates

Estimates are based on the technician’s initial inspection and represent the anticipated cost of repair at that time. Because appliances can have hidden damage, intermittent failures, multiple failed components, or secondary issues, additional repairs may be necessary once an initial repair is performed.

If additional work is needed, Sarah’s Appliance Repair will provide a revised estimate when reasonably possible. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Parts availability, pricing, shipping costs, and manufacturer status may change at any time.

Payment Terms

The Customer agrees to pay all balances in full upon completion of service, unless other written arrangements have been approved by Sarah’s Appliance Repair.

If a repair is approved, a deposit may be required before parts are ordered or before work is scheduled. Any remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the repair. Payment methods may include cash, check, credit card, debit card, or approved electronic payment method.

All business properties, rental properties, property managers, landlords, and Customers who are not able to make payment at the service location may be required to place a card on file. This card must remain on file until service has been completed and paid in full. If payment is not collected on site after completion of service, Sarah’s Appliance Repair is authorized to charge the card on file for the balance due.

Landlords, Property Managers, and Third-Party Payers

For rental properties, landlord-approved repairs, property management accounts, warranty-related visits, or any service where someone other than the person present at the service location is responsible for payment, Sarah’s Appliance Repair requires a signed service authorization and payment agreement before the appointment is confirmed.

A valid credit or debit card must also be placed on file before the appointment. This card may be charged for the service fee, approved repairs, deposits, parts, labor, shipping, handling, missed appointment fees, cancellation fees, or any other balance due under these Terms and Conditions.

If the signed authorization agreement and card on file are not received before the scheduled appointment, Sarah’s Appliance Repair may cancel the appointment without further notice. The appointment will not be considered confirmed until all required authorization and payment information has been received and approved by Sarah’s Appliance Repair.

The person, landlord, property manager, company, warranty provider, or third-party payer authorizing service agrees to be responsible for all approved charges. If a third party fails to pay, delays payment, disputes payment, declines coverage, or refuses payment for any reason, the Customer and/or authorizing party remains responsible for the full balance due.

The Customer agrees to pay any unpaid balance, interest on past-due balances where permitted by law, collection costs, attorney’s fees, returned-payment fees, chargeback-related costs, shipping and handling charges, restocking fees, and any other charges for which the Customer is responsible.

A $50 returned-payment fee will be charged for returned checks, dishonored payments, failed card payments, or similar payment issues.

If a manufacturer, warranty company, contract company, landlord, property manager, or other third party does not remit payment for a claim or service, the Customer agrees to be fully responsible for all costs associated with the service.

If paying by credit card, the Customer authorizes Sarah’s Appliance Repair to charge the card for all costs and fees the Customer is responsible for under these Terms and Conditions and their cardholder agreement.

Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access

Sarah’s Appliance Repair requires at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Missed appointments, cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, failure to provide access to the service location, failure to answer calls or texts needed for access, or failure to have the appliance reasonably accessible may result in a fee equal to the service call charge.

If a Customer cancels an approved repair after parts have been ordered, all ordered parts must be returned in their original packaging and condition before any eligible refund is issued. Shipping, handling, and restocking fees may be deducted from the deposit. Opened, installed, damaged, electrical, special-order, non-returnable, or manufacturer-restricted parts are non-refundable. If the Customer elects to keep the ordered parts, no refund will be issued for those parts.

Liability, Property Conditions, and Damages

The Customer understands that there are inherent risks associated with inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, moving, or installing appliances. Appliances and surrounding components may be affected by age, wear, rust, corrosion, heat, moisture, prior repairs, improper installation, brittle plastics, stripped screws, stuck fasteners, weak flooring, cabinetry conditions, plumbing connections, gas connections, electrical issues, or other pre-existing conditions.

Sarah’s Appliance Repair makes reasonable efforts to identify visible pre-existing problems with appliances, installations, power supply, plumbing, gas supply, ventilation, cabinetry, flooring, and surrounding areas. However, some conditions are hidden, inaccessible, intermittent, or not discoverable before disassembly, testing, movement, or repair.

Sarah’s Appliance Repair is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, improper installations, or damage resulting from such conditions except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Sarah’s Appliance Repair is not responsible for losses or damages due to improper installation, including but not limited to plastic or foil ventilation lines, plastic water supply lines, improper drain connections, unsafe electrical supply, improper gas connections, unlevel appliances, blocked ventilation, or installations that do not meet manufacturer specifications or applicable code.

Moving appliances carries a risk of damage to flooring, cabinetry, countertops, trim, walls, doors, water lines, drain lines, gas lines, electrical cords, and surrounding areas. Technicians are not required to move appliances. If a technician agrees to move an appliance as a courtesy or as part of service, the Customer accepts the associated risks unless damage is caused by proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Appliances connected to plumbing, gas, or electrical systems carry additional risks, including leaks, flooding, electrical surges, fire, gas leaks, and component failure. Sarah’s Appliance Repair is not responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to food loss, water damage, spoiled inventory, loss of business revenue, loss of use, personal inconvenience, or replacement appliance costs, except where prohibited by law.

Sarah’s Appliance Repair is not responsible for accidents, delays, or damage caused by unsecured pets, children, blocked work areas, unsafe conditions, pests, biohazards, or other obstructions at the service location.

Appliance Use Before and After Service

The Customer understands they should not continue using an appliance that is malfunctioning, leaking, overheating, sparking, making abnormal noises, producing odors, failing to drain, failing to cool, failing to heat properly, or otherwise operating abnormally until it has been deemed fully operational.

The Customer assumes all risks associated with continued operation of an appliance before repairs have been completed or after the Customer declines recommended repairs.

Parts Policy

Sarah’s Appliance Repair generally installs new Original Equipment Manufacturer parts whenever available. If OEM parts are unavailable, discontinued, delayed, restricted, or classified as No Longer Available, Sarah’s Appliance Repair may offer aftermarket, rebuilt, used, or alternative options when appropriate.

Sarah’s Appliance Repair does not install customer-provided parts as a standard practice. If an exception is made, no warranty or guarantee applies to the customer-provided part, the diagnosis, the repair outcome, or any labor related to failure of that part. Additional fees will apply if the part is incorrect, defective, damaged, incomplete, or requires reinstallation.

Warranty

Any warranty included with a repair must be specifically listed in the Customer’s Post Visit Report, invoice, estimate, written authorization, or other written documentation provided by Sarah’s Appliance Repair. If no warranty is listed in the Post Visit Report, invoice, estimate, or other written documentation, no warranty should be assumed or implied.

Warranty coverage, when provided in writing, applies only to the specific repaired issue and only to the specific parts and/or labor identified in the written warranty terms. Warranty coverage does not apply to unrelated failures, new symptoms, intermittent issues that were not present or verified during the original visit, customer-supplied parts, improper use, improper installation, pre-existing conditions, external electrical, plumbing, gas, or ventilation issues, cosmetic damage, incidental or consequential damages, food loss, or discontinued parts.

Certain manufacturers may provide shorter, longer, or different warranty coverage on parts. In those cases, warranty coverage is limited to the manufacturer’s policy and any written warranty terms provided by Sarah’s Appliance Repair.

Our warranty, if any, applies only when Sarah’s Appliance Repair is paid directly by the Customer for the specific repair, unless otherwise stated in writing. For manufacturer, warranty company, home warranty, landlord, property manager, retailer, or other third-party-paid repairs, warranty coverage is subject to the paying party’s warranty terms and is not provided by Sarah’s Appliance Repair unless specifically stated in writing.

Warranty coverage applies only as long as replacement parts remain available. If a required part becomes discontinued or is classified as No Longer Available by the manufacturer, any remaining warranty obligation related to that part is considered fulfilled. Sarah’s Appliance Repair is not responsible for providing substitute parts, replacement appliances, refunds beyond amounts required by law, or additional compensation when parts are no longer available.

Appliance Installation

Installation services cover only the basic removal and installation of appliances unless otherwise stated in writing. Installation charges do not include modifications to electrical, gas, water, ventilation, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, trim, doors, or surrounding structures.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the installation site, utilities, connections, shutoff valves, ventilation, flooring, cabinetry, and surrounding conditions meet manufacturer specifications and applicable code requirements. Technicians may refuse unsafe or improper installations.

Customer Satisfaction and Completion of Service

By signing a work order, invoice, authorization, paper leave-behind, electronic form, Post Visit Report, or otherwise allowing service to be completed, the Customer acknowledges that services were performed, charges are due, and the appliance and surrounding property have been left in the same general condition as existed prior to Sarah’s Appliance Repair’s service call, subject to the services performed and any documented pre-existing conditions, risks, or damage.

Communications and Privacy

By scheduling service, the Customer consents to receive phone calls, emails, and SMS text messages regarding appointments, service updates, estimates, payment, billing, parts, warranty status, and related service communications. Standard message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP at any time. Our Privacy Policy is available on our website.
